Artist's Comments

This scene from outside my front door is one of the very first shots I took, and I decided to reshoot it, now that I have a tad more experience. I purged the old shot from my gallery, but for those of you who caught it while it was still up, hopefully you'll find some inkling of improvement with this version. Everytime I gaze out my window and see this view, I am overwhelmed with gratefulness that I've been given another day.

Special thanks to *jagscupid for helping me untangle pesky powerlines.

Gorgeous scene with wonderful colours and the title is really inspiring too. Nice job :)

Time and space, succession and extension, are merely accidental conditions of Thought. The Imagination can transcend them, and move in a free sphere of ideal existences. Things are, in their essence, what we choose to make them - Oscar Wilde

The title for this is perfectly suited for the pic. such a great angle and composition of colors.... especially with the contrast from the top to the bottom.

The colours looks absolutely beautiful and I don't care whether how much you have saturated those. Guess if you have tools for digital editing you can also use them to create beautiness. :)

Good job.

Another amazing shot!

I wish I lived where you do. Winter is so depressing, I just can't find the urge to take a picture of anything.

Great colors on this, and I love the silhouettes of the palm trees.

Thanks again, Peter!

Be glad you have winter. Here we just have one season, and I greatly miss the change in look the different seasons bring.

I think more than anything, this piece was a lesson for me in color and timing. My original shot that I deleted was taken no more than 30 minutes later in the day than this one, and the colors turned out much different. It's amazing how fast the sky changes its face.
